Word Aware is a structured whole school approach to promote the vocabulary development of all children. Focused on whole class learning, the resource is of particular value for those who start at a disadvantage - including children with Developmental Language Disorder, Special Educational Needs and those who speak English as an additional language, but it will extend the word learning of all students.
Word Aware is a fast-paced, fun and interactive course. You will leave the session with lots of practical ideas on how to develop vocabulary in your school.

This course will be run as an online training session via Microsoft Teams. Please note: Ideally, participants will have access to a copy of the book available before joining the course. The 2013 edition of Word Aware can be purchased from Amazon.
